Since the release of Press Agency EP rapper Phatblitz has been globally recognised in the underground subculture as a profound lyricist and therefore must not be confused with the new wave of lyrically sterile Soundcloud Rappers..
Phatblitz has been a hip hop fan as a listener ever since his early stages, and age of 15 is when he finally realized his skills of rapping. It all began once upon a time in a freestyle chyper back in high school, where he had rapped verbally without any written material, and surprisingly Phatblitz received intense response from the crowd. Ever since then he has been rapping and consuming music as edutainment and a cure to publicly express his experiences and opinions about life.

THE YEAR 2006: Phatblitz became a member of a clique by the name of "B.G.A" (Bad-Gangstaz-Alive) or (Baggy Always) with his fellow school-mates "StrongHold","Shoddy" & "Bucks". That were the moments he had decided to start dwelling in the vocal booth to produce recordings as an exhibition of his musical art. Therefore he recorded his first record which was untitled and featured South African hip hop artists such as "Terrorist-X" ,"Buckz" ,"Biggie Bongz", "Sky". The track was unorganized and based on free-styles. Though the track was unorganized, it had its uniqueness and had totally tracked a tremendous buzz for Phatblitz to a point where most rappers wanted to collaborate with him, however, the critics started mentioning him repeatedly as if his name had echo.
THE YEAR 2007: Phatblitz left the B.G.A's and started working with the "ALX" (Alcoholix-Crew) which is a former musical duo based in Lotus Gardens aka (Lowkey Gutta). ALX is the very same rap group that had brought a real Gangsta-Rap theme to life. One of their core elements was consuming liquor frequently, however wearing a blue bandanna which was a symbolic fragment of the picture ALX had painted. The crew was completely all about bringing originality into the South African hip hop scene, making sure that their lyrics on every single record reflects on their real life occurrences. Though the crew had been causing havoc throughout the sessions in state-theatre and the streets of Pretoria (Cap City), the crew had slowly but surely rose to dominance and it was also extremely spoken about by critics in the hip hop community. Phatblitz swore his loyalty to the "ALX-crew" and worked on two rowdy and raw mixtape's, collectively with the "ALX-crew", which made his street-cred get even. The crew received much love and hate from the mass. THE YEAR 2009: Phatblitz retired from the group because of personal glitches, and that's when his solo career had commenced.
THE YEAR 2010: Phatblitz invented a record company called "Core4Mat" which is still under development. At first it was just a hobby and all about releasing singles just to fulfill his crave for making music, and to maintain the street-cred he had obtained during the glory-days.
THE YEAR 2011: By realizing the hit singles he had recorded and by analyzing the response from the people towards the songs, Phatblitz decided to start compiling a mixtape entitled "The Infirm Mixtape.Vol.1". The mixtape was formatted in a acrimonious way in combination with his hardcore hip hop content, plus his bad and good life experiences throughout the young and the restless days his been going through during his come up as a rapper.
On the 2th NOVEMBER 2011: Phatblitz released a music-video for a his mixtape's debut single called "All I Do Iz", but than the music-video was up-loaded on 6 FEBRUARY 2012 due to slack in management at that time.
On 4 NOVEMBER 2011: "The Infirm Mixtape.Vol.1" was released independently by Phatblitz under "Core4Mat" recording company.
THE YEAR 2012: Which is the very same year that the mixtape started receiving actual recognition throughout the country. With th mixtape on promotion, Phatblitz managed to get radio-interviews and air-play, mostly on online radio stations and features on online fanzines, plus sell hundreds of copies independently. The mixtape consists of singles that charted on the number one spot for several weeks on local hip hop show named "HOODBASE" hosted at "TSHWANE-FM 93.6" radio station. Some songs & videos within "The Infirm Mixtape.Vol.1" were highly rated/listened/viewed on a global scale online on "EXPOSED VOCALS", "COAST 2 COAST", "MIX CONNECT" and many more song & video hosting websites. Phatblitz also got featured on online magazines such as "LG MAGAZINE" and on the issue 8 of "Y-NOT CULTURE MAGAZINE" just to mention a few.
