Biography:

The band formed in the early 70s, originally under the name "OmegaErre" after playing covers of Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and others who were part of the hard rock scene of those years, in 1980, decided to write music unpublished and change the name, more suited to the genre who were going to play. The Dark Quarterer were born. They began the journey that will take them to produce two albums still considered milestones in the history of metal, the selftitled "Quarterer Dark" in 1987 and "Etruscan Prophecy" 1989. After a short time, however, the guitarist (Fulberto Serena), leaves the band , forcing Gianni Nepi and Paolo Ninci to find a replacement, that given the particular uniqueness of Fulberto was really difficult, so Sandro Tersetti became part of the trio, changing substantially the sound. This new collaboration generated the third album "War Tears" in 1993 and increased the live activity. Unfortunately, once again the guitarist goes away and is replaced in 1998 by Francesco Sozzi, nineteen years old talented guy (the son of a friend that some years after will be their manager), which brings another change in sound, modernizing and expanding the possibilities of musical growth of the band. After joining, and after the entrance of keyboardist Francesco Longhi (in 2002), will be produced "Violence" in 2002, "Symbols" in 2008, "Under The Spell" 2010 (Live DVD) and 2011 (Double CD), is produced in 2012 " Dark Quarterer XXV Anniversary ",the first album that is totally arranged and recorded as if it were a new disc. This brings us to 2015, which will be published "Ithaca", their sixth studio album and plans to publish between the end of the year and the beginning of 2016 some productions vinyl. During the years from 2000 to the present day, the band played on the stages of many prestigious European festivals and headlining in numerous concerts in large venues and clubs, and found excellent results and expanding the number of fans that have recognized over the huge impact the undisputed uniqueness that has made them a cult band in the world.
