Sounds Like: (Sting), John Mayer
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Dillon went to Nashville to perform and write songs after graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has since written for and has had songs recorded by George Jones, Alabama, Little Big Town, Restless Heart, Natalie Cole, Don Felder (of the famed band, The Eagles), Ronnie Milsap, Neil McCoy, Steve Holy, the late Mindy McCready, Josh Gracin and Rodney Atkins among countless others.
Across the Atlantic Ocean, based out of Innsbruck, Austria, Dillon found his place in an American three-member group called “High South.” Reminiscent of the Eagles with their rich harmonies, they just finished their first CD for Universal/Switzerland with a #2 song in Austria and a top 10 song in Holland this past year.
Recently signing with Schedler Music Publishing out of Austria, Dillon has been working and writing on an international scale with artists and writers from all over the globe.
Along with his artistic ambitions, Dillon’s music has also been featured in films including “Terminator 3,” “Live Free or Die Hard,” ”Blade 2,” “3:10 To Yuma,” “Hellboy,” “The Florentine,” “The Crow 3” and a number of songs for director Wes Craven for his films such as “Scream,” “ Dracula 2000,” Cursed,” “Amusement” and “Mimic.”
Dillon’s latest effort in Hollywood consists of a song he wrote for the upcoming George Clooney NASCAR film called “Chasing Ghosts” due for release this summer, 2015.
His band’s new CD, “High South,” was released this past February on Universal Music Group/Switzerland. Their tour starts March, 2015 and will continue into this summer throughout Europe.
