“Infectious musicality in step with holiday season Williamsburg resident’s humble demeanor is welcoming and his rich melodies are hypnotic. By Jon Cawley Special to the Virginia Gazette Louis Vangieri possesses a subtle duality that acts like a siren song for fans who have faithfully followed his professional music career for years at Peninsula-area coffeehouses, restaurants and other intimate venues. The Williamsburg resident’s warm smile and humble demeanor is welcoming. But when he puts pick to steel string on his Martin acoustic guitar, the grin is replaced by introspective intensity and Vangieri showers the audience with rich melodies that ebb and flow, almost hypnotically. His infectious musicality played out on a recent Saturday afternoon as Vangieri performed acoustic arrangements of holiday favorites at the Hampton History Museum’s Holly Days Open House.”
Jon Cawley - The Virginia Gazette

“THANK YOU! Special thanks to the Williamsburg Library Theater (WLT) for sharing the music of the LCV PROJECT/ Louis Vangieri recently. What a wonderful concert! Lots of diverse music so well performed on solo acoustic guitar. I found myself humming along with the terrific tunes, but the best part of the concert was Lou's original works! We are blessed to have a musical venue like the WLT for great artists who live in Williamsburg. Did I mention that this great musical experience was free. Thank you WLT,”

The Last Word - THE VIRGINIA GAZETTE

“These days, Louis C. Vangieri channels much of his energy into making music. The 60-year-old Williamsburg resident has been playing music since his youth, toured with a band along the east coast for several years after college, and has played in duos, trios, quartets and quintets. Vangieri, whose goes by the name The LCV Project, now plays a solo act that combines his own rhythm acoustic guitar recordings with live acoustic guitar performances for some unique and unexpected sounds that he compares to two hands that play the two ends of a piano. He wasn't always a full-time musician. Vangieri has degrees in sociology and anthropology, and spent 30 years as a college counselor. But he was diagnosed with cancer in 1999 He fought the battle and won, and several years later he and his wife Lauren decided to retire in Williamsburg, where they had been frequent visitors.”

“On Friday, January 2nd, Louis Vangieri brought his 42 years of acoustical guitar and the musicality which comes with it to Gloucester Arts on Main, which now joins a long list of places where he has given performances. As a relentlessly creative music writer & performer, he has been active in the acoustic-music community since the mid-1970's, with performances at colleges & universities and shows at the legendary Main Point. In addition, during his career, he has opened for Livingston Taylor, Taj Mahal, Ralph Towner & Chris Smither and has performed at upscale clubs & private concerts, outdoor venues, festivals, vineyards & wineries, regional libraries, tea house & coffee houses. There was a select audience on hand to appreciate his music which featured a selection of Christmas music and other favorites of artists who he admired as well as his own compositions. He is creatively a unique musician in that he has refined the sound of his guitar to compliment his playing style.”
