"Diverse yet versatile, these guys are on the front line of the local hip-hop music movement, defying all the negative stigmas of Asia, especially of our multicultural metropolis. The label prides itself in “writing raps, which inspire people and relate to their struggles, [and] pushing boundaries for what it means to be Asian”.
Rachel Ooi - UrbanWire
"He is akin to JayZ in the scene here and like the Jigga Man, has the audacity and singled-minded work ethic to take him to the top"
George Abishek Cherian - Space to Party Singapore
"I wanted to build something real, I didn’t want to be another artist begging for a record deal or not having full control over his musical destiny. And I saw that artists in Asia have so much potential but for the most part they have this inferior, ‘I can’t do it on my own’ mentality. They’re too used to being under someone or doing as their told. I felt that as an artist you should fuck whoever is on top of you and take control of everything. So I started a movement and like-minds just gathered really."
Elvis was the king of rock n roll, Michael Jackson is the king of pop, Monkey King is the upcoming, British born, Japanese saviour that is reviving rap and introducing the world to a new side of Asia.”
