On Ithenfal's Wing / Press

“Your music isn't just meant to be listened to...it is meant to be EXPERIENCED! Your sound is unparalleled. Each track is brilliantly mastered, but there is this mystique about "Dark Vast Woods" that sets it apart. The guitar work in it just gets the blood pumping. Well met!”

Liz [The Lizabeth Sessions] - Reverbnation

“Between The Shore and Fog is an epic, superb track, great combinations of fast energetic and quiet reflective passages.”

Last Day On Earth - Reverbnation

“A Haunting Farewell gives me shivers... a beautifully sad story epically delivered! Wicked drumming, keeps it hanging in this unsettled mood.”

“Key To Then really benefits from the very unusual vocal production, making it big, enigmatic and haunting, like an ancient landscape of towering ruins. Same with your other songs. Highly original stuff with no regard for the conventional rule book.”

The Electric Era - Reverbnation

“A Haunting Farewell is magnificent. I swear you folks have invented a new musical genre.”

Frank Smith - Sills & Smith - Reverbnation

“The idea of "On Ithenfal's Wing" is a bold stroke of genius. It would seem to be out of reach for many diehard Tolkien, etc. fans, since one would either have to be proficient as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist (i.e., an unusual solo combo) or find other musicians who have similar tastes in books, movies, etc., are accomplished musicians/songwriters AND are also fans of prog and metal. Tough odds to be up against. This band beats the odds with a healthy margin, and succeeds in a very original fashion. The style is clearly prog-metal, but OIW takes a different path than many who call this genre "home." Here, the tempo slows down--in "A Haunting Farewell" and "Through the Black Thorn..." a lot--so the effect is not to hit the listener over the head with sped-up virtuosity but rather to grind down the listener's brain to a crawl, a startling hypnotic effect. It's an effective hook. Well done, guys!”

Howard Lawrence - Reverbnation

“Great proggy sounds. Love the way and how hardly noticable 'Once Beneath a Peaceful Moon' morphs and turns and unfolds. Like Syd Barrett in the court of the crimson king.”

Kappi - Kloudworks - Reverbnation

“A Haunting Farewell is a superb rock track, epic in scope, and effortlessly combing powerful pulverizing rock with classical melody and a great band performance.”
