Nu Era / Press

“You may be curious as to what brought this on, so I'll tell you. The short answer is everything. The lengthier response is that I was listening to a song my son had blasting. He replayed it for me a few times and demanded my attention. The clip consisted of a short excerpt from one of President Obama's pre-president speeches – the speech wherein he loudly promised, well you should listen to it: nuERA on MySpace and the song is entitled "Head of State" – just scroll down a little and click it on the jukebox. ”

“So a question comes up here in Orlando: What would happen if a band decided to return to that sound that was so popular a mere decade ago? An even better question: what if that band featured some of the best musicians from some of the most promising acts in Central Florida? Those two questions can be answered with one band: NuEra.”

“Okay I know some of you must be thinking that nothing nü can be new, it's been done, that was so 1999. Sure maybe the first influx of bands using the term nü happened once before or even twice before, but the reasons that it happened were because of the stagnation of the rock/metal scene in general. Just as back then we needed nü life, we need it now. One listen and it's clear Nü Era has stepped into the ring with ready fists.”
