    The Controversy with RewindStoPlay, DJ Amy White, DJ Artemis Gordon The Los Angeles electronic art-pop duo The Controversy invites you on a journey through intricate electronic beats, psychedelic ambiance and unusual pop melodies. The duo has been proclaimed as one of the Best Artist of 2014 and their latest album "Don't Count On Me" as an "electronic art-pop masterpiece" by FourCulture Magazine, U&I Magazine named their single "Queen of Chinatown" as #1 Single of 2014, Bandcamp described it as "super moody pop music that's turning heads", and Buzzbands LA, Free Bike Valet Magazine, The Deli Magazine, Polari UK and Impose Magazine, among others, have featured and premiered their work.Originally from Spain and Denmark, The Controversy's sound is influenced by artists like St Vincent, Beck, Air, Miike Snow, Portishead, Bjork and Massive Attack and has been described as a "seamless mash up of electronica with psychedelic rock, infectious pop songs which merge the melodies of 80's Depeche Mode and OMD with a touch of The Knife and Metronomy".The Controversy's first album "Real" won them the title of "Artist of the Year 2012" at Artists In Music Awards and "Best Alternative Song of 2012" at Hollywood Music in Media Awards for their single "Real" and has received critical acclaimed reviews, describing it as stunning, off the hook, rich songs with powerful lyrics and musical serenity, moving and captivating, refreshing change from the overproduced pop and unique, powerfully emotional, honest and ethereal.The Controversy also writes music for film, TV and video games and some of their credits include a song placement in the TV show The Bridge, the creation and production of the theme song for the Sundance Film Festival Winner Director Amin Matalqas feature film Strangely In Love, the theme song for the video game Monaco Cant Resist in collaboration with Grammy nominee composer Austin Wintory and the theme song for the feature film Last Flight in collaboration with the award winner composer Garry Schyman among others.
