Alex Hall / Press

“...Hall closed out his set with a cover of John Mayer’s, “Gravity,” that really exhibited the range of his impressive vocals, proving he definitely has the makings of a star on the rise. It is just a matter of time before this rising star garnishes his deserved attention.”

“Alex Hall may be young, but his musical resume hold its own against performers twice his age. For the last several years, the 17-year-old Gainesville resident has been busy writing songs, performing live and opening shows for artists like Frankie Ballard and Bucky Covington. He’s also mentored younger musicians through First Verse, an after-school program for students interested in songwriting. It was created by members of the John Jarrard Foundation. Although he spends a lot of time on the road traveling to shows all over the Southeast, Alex took a break to talk to The Times about his latest achievements:”

“I'm a sucker for the stories about young artists living out their dreams while still maintaining a relatively normal lifestyle and Alex Hall is one such example of that. Only to the young age of 17, Alex has already been performing for several years. In fact, he is already becoming known among fans and locals for his stage presence and mature vocals that belie his age. Indeed, he even writes and sings of subject matter beyond his age. Nonetheless, listening to Alex Hall will not be a disappointment. ”

“Alex Hall has already started rubbing elbows with record executives in Nashville, Tenn., writing songs and spending enough time in the recording studio to cut his first album. ”
