Proceeds from this festival will benefit The Bolton Fair and help them sustain their 53 acre Fairgrounds. The Bolton Fair was established in 1874 and since their beginning they are run 100% by a volunteer staff as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. But this was also feisty West Warwick, where, as the emcee said earlier, "when the chips are down, the people are up." By the time Elvis was into "Suspicious Minds" -- because I love you too much baby -- the women from Stop & Shop were on their feet and waving their napkins. Other women had their chairs facing out, convenient for Elvis to stop by, shimmy down, and drape them with one of his silky white scarfs. At a few tables, he stood on a chair, and placed one white boot on the tablecloth between the melting dishes of ice cream rolls, with heart-shaped strawberry centers.
