“As the Habitat Home Dedication Ceremony started new homeowner Jennifer Barton screamed as she saw national country recording artist and Habitat for Humanity volunteer - Michael Ray joining the crowd. Jennifer ran over and greeted him with a hug right away. The Barton's are huge fans of Michael Ray. Michael Ray had a concert at Lakeland Music Ranch scheduled for later on that night and was in the area. Michael Ray donated 2 days with Habitat in March of this year at the Habitat fundraiser BBQ for Homes and met the Barton family, of 6, that was waiting for a home. He jumped at the chance to come out and make this a special day for them: Donald, Jennifer, Shelbie, Sheldon, Kolby & Mason Barton. Michael Ray has worked on the jobsites of other Habitat affiliates as well and strongly believes in supporting and helping others.”

“Three young men from Lake are gearing up for a big gig at Orlando's House of Blues — with free tickets for local residents. "It's a huge thing to say you've played the House of Blues," said Michael Ray Roach, whose professional name is Michael Ray. Ray, 22, is a singer and songwriter from Eustis who will officially release his first CD, "Who I Am," at the Downtown Disney West Side music venue. A 2006 graduate of Blue Lake Academy, Ray was asked to headline an unusual evening in the local-acts series on July 17: Orlando Rocks! COUNTRY. ”
