THE ABORIGINAL PEOPLES CHOICE MUSIC AWARDS September 11-12, 2014 Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada The Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards (APCMA) acknowledges and celebrates the accomplishments of Aboriginal recording artists and music industry professionals from across Canada, the United States and the World. The awards program marks its 9th year in 2014 with the presentation of awards in 28 genre and specialty categories. The deadline for submissions is May 2, 2014. The free online voting process is comprised of two rounds of voting. The first round takes place from (TBA) for Industry voters only – music industry professionals, promoters, labels, and artists. Nominees are encouraged to ‘Promote Their Vote’ through social media or additional marketing mediums. The awards will be presented and split between two separate events. The first event, entitled the RBC ‘Ohshkii Awards Night’ is Thursday September 11, 2014, and is by invitation only for Nominees, Industry Voters, Special Guests and Sponsors. The second event is televised live on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network from the MTS Centre on Friday September 12, 2014. A Pre-Awards Reception and Red Carpet precede this event.
