The 40th annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival is set for Saturday, June 11th from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm (doors open at 11:45 am). The event attracts approximately 1,500 festival-goers and showcases local talent and folk traditions from around the globe. This year’s Festival is a full day of performances, music and dance workshops, dance parties, crafts, vendors, formal and informal music-making, and just plain fun for the whole family. All performances and workshops are free and open to anyone who wants to drop in and participate or just listen. As always, admission is free! Guitar maestro Mark started life as a sound engineer, and later as a guitarist, he recorded with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra.
