Mark Houser and Bluegrass Drive / Bio

Mark Houser is an established singer- songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee who is currently on Rural Rhythm Records. His release UNEVEN ROAD debuted on Billboard Bluegrass Magazine Chart at #9 on September 29, 2012 and spent over 36 weeks on the Roots Bluegrass Chart. The single LEAD ME HOME reached #1 on the Inspirational Country Music Chart in February 2015. Previously UNEVEN ROAD charted at #4 and RIVER OF REGRET at #13 on Power Source Bluegrass Chart by the Inspirational Country Music Association. He has had songs recorded by country's Rodney Atkins, Little River Band, Russell Hitchcock, the lead singer of Air Supply, The Roys, David Adam Byrnes, Gordie Quest of Band of Heathens, and legendary Grand Ole Opry performer Jack Greene. Houser's song Red, White and Blue Christmas recorded by Greene was performed on the Grand Ole Opry.
Bluegrass group Carrie Hassler and Hard Rain recorded Houser songs Seven Miles From Wichita (reached #1 on Sirius Top 40 Bluegrass) and the song Hard Rain.
Also, Australian Scott Dann reached #43 in that country with It's Time and Italian pop artist Elena Ley recorded Nell'aria.
Independent artist Arlo Gilliam a favorite co-writer has recorded numerous Houser co-writes on his albums. In all 93 songs have been recorded in his career.
Houser is also President/CEO of Writers In House Music, LLC (BMI) located in Nashville, Tennessee.
As an artist Houser performs ocassionally and considers himself a music fan first and foremost. "I have a great passion for the song. The process of writing and creating something that hopefully will outlive me and help in someway to make the world just a little better place."
Houser's song The Big Picture can also be heard in the 1989 movie No Justice as the closing theme. A movie in which he received his only acting credit in a motion picture release.
