Rockin the Park - Christian Festival
The Near East Side Community Organization proudly presents an annual Feast of Lanterns, a beautiful century old outdoor event, in the 1800 block of Nowland Ave, Spades Park in Indianapolis, Indiana. Beginning at noon, the Feast offers up the day for the family of original art, food, exhibitors, local vendors, a lantern auction, and lots of great activities for kids including games, and hands-on projects. Live music on two stages beginning at noon, continues throughout the day, into the evening. As dusk falls, as we revel in the sights and sounds, celebrate the inevitable, the ceremonial lighting just before dusk, in which hundreds of candle-lit lanterns are hoisted into century-old Oak trees, illuminating and transforming one of the cities oldest parks. Day always turns into night, and the night into magic.
