Mo E All-Stars Grover Stewart Jr., Duane Williams & Mo Egeston Also featuring- Coco Rochelle, Mario Pascal, Bob DeBoo , Matthew Von Doran & Ted Brookins. Pianist Maurice Mo Egeston returns to the Kranzberg Arts Center with Mo E All-Stars along with featured artists Mario Pascal & Coco Rochelle,. The evening will be recorded for a live EP that will be released in late 2014. Beginning in the earliest era of St. Louis’ Washington Avenue club district, Mo Egeston has had a strong presence in the St. Louis live music scene, working with and supporting some of the city’s top talents. Since his days with Urban Jazz Naturals Mo’s original music has been inspired by the world of DJ/producer based electronic music. But his approach has always been to recreate those sounds with live musicians. Since 2010 Mo All-Stars has served as the vehicle for Egeston’s original music. With a core of like minded musicians and friends- Grover Stewart Jr. on drums and “Duane “Jingo” Williams on percussion- Egeston is able to merge all of his influences into a cohesive sound. Creating a vibe that borrows from house music, jazz, Latin, drum and bass and underground soul. Advanced ticket purchase is recommended. www. moegeston.com

“Sierra Leone's Refugee All-Stars at 2720 Cherokee - May 30 I'm fearful to include this because it would be impossible to describe this show without admitting that sometimes I actually do dance at shows. In the case of this show, I only stopped dancing long enough to take pictures and make sure the entire place wasn't laughing at me. In addition to a phenomenal headlining show, Mario Pascal & the Roots Fusion Band delivered an amazing opening set.”
