“Check out a review of "Live @ The Bevy" from ROOTSTIME in Belgium!”

“Mama's Black Sheep/Live @ The Bevy: Here's a cd-dvd combo pack that documents the work of this hard working folkie based singer/songwriter duo that's flying high in the underground. With more shows under their belts than you can imagine from an act you probably haven't heard of, they used Indiegogo to finance an extravaganza of a package to reward their faithful and further spread the word. Organic, heartfelt stuff that anyone can relate to, this is further proof the underground of outliers is alive an well. Well done.”

“Mama’s Black Sheep - Live @The Bevy (Self-produced): Mama’s Black Sheep officially formed as a duo composed of Ashland Miller (guitar, vocals) and Laura Cerulli (drums, piano, vocals) in 2008. This disc, their third, is a live performance of eight originals and five covers ranging from Dave Barnes and Stevie Nicks to Otis Redding. The sound is folksy or Americana and includes backup by Robin Elder (bass) and Helen Hausmann (violin) with a guest appearance by Christine Havrilla (guitar, vocal) on one track. Not much that is deeply bluesy, but good material and very nice and tight performances. Their vocals blend really well.”
