With close to 1 million video views from over 35,000 social media fans, Makayla Lynn is quickly becoming a household name. Recently signing with Taylor Guitars in their partnered artist program and being invited to perform at the world famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Makayla is achieving things most dream about their entire lives.
She has penned over 100 songs and released her 2014 debut Nashville recorded and produced album “Daydream” that has earned 4 major award nominations including 2 ECMAs, a MNS and IMEA nod. Daydream has not only seen 2 singles released to 175 stations across Canada, but has also had songs make it to the semi-finals in the International Songwriting Contest, Unsigned Only’s Songwriting Contest and CBC’s Searchlight contest.
Makayla is no stranger to the stage, performing for the past 7 years all around the Maritimes, Ontario and in Nashville. Wowing the crowd at venues such as the Cavendish Beach Music Festival (PEI), Boots and Hearts Festival (ON), Maritime Country Fest (NB), Stan Rogers Folk Fest (NS) and The Bluebird Cafe (TN) just to name a few. She has shared the stage and opened for some of country music's biggest names like Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Ricky Skaggs, Sam Hunt and just about every other legend on today’s radio. Performing in front of crowds as large as 30,000 and in some of the most iconic venues along the way.
Backed by some of the biggest A-list musicians in Music City and produced by Smith Curry (steel player for Taylor Swift, Randy Travis, Kid Rock and many others), Makayla has been steadily writing with hit writers both in Nashville and back at home in preparation for her next album which is being recorded in September.
