Angel Simmons is a multitalented artist from Chicago’s south side. She is speaker, runway and print model, storyteller, columnist, author and blogger at “Love’s Great Design”, president and CEO of The Message, Inc., certified grief and loss coach, advocate for suicide prevention, and the current “Ms. Worldwide USA Ambassador” for the Live Out Loud Charity. Angel also serves on the Board for Karitos- one of the largest worship arts conferences in the country.
Angel has been featured in books, magazines, the Chicago Tribune, Crain's Chicago Business Weekly, in Christian music, and as a guest on both radio and television. Her film and television credits include background appearances in “Concrete Hearts” (2016), A.P.B. (All Points Bulletin), Chicago Fire, Chicago Justice, Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Empire and Public Housing Unit. She is also the lead actress in the "Sound the Alarm on Suicide" My Last Party Stage Production (coming back on March 10th!).
Angel has graced storytelling stages at Bad Poetry Night, Homewood Stories, Is This a Thing?, Legends of the Fall, Loose Chicks, Miss Spoken, Story Club South Side, The Frunchroom, This Much Is True, Tuesday Funk, Urban Tales Comedy Storytelling, and a number of conferences and events throughout the Midwest. She is also the co-host of the monthly series Do Not Submit Storytelling Open Mic Englewood held every second Saturday.
