For the better part of the last decade, the Irish American Heritage Center has been the home for Cash for Kids- Chicago's only Johnny Cash Festival. Local musicians playing country, rock, hip-hop, rockibilly and gospel versions of music Johnny wrote and performed. Two stages, eight bands and one of the coolest venues in Chicago provide the backdrop to an amazing evening. This years line up includes Hayden Thompson, Iron Horse, The Big Wu, Pin Drop Theatre, Tommy Tuesday, S.A. & Stolie, Jenny Rockis, Lil Red and "The Howlin' Wolves" and Glass 1/2 Empty. More acts TBA. Easy access from 90/94 and plenty of parking make it easy for you to join in on what many people call their favorite night of the year. Suggested donation is $20.
