"When Kuwago played, I was surprised that there were no moshing kids. If they’d played here, I’d have guaranteed there would be a moshpit. Their music is loud and heavy, with fast, precise fretwork and intense drumming. It’s not really something I listen to but their live performance was energy-intensive as the vocalist sang while the rest of the band held each song together with their own parts. Their lyrics probably stemmed from personal experiences and Pao, the vocalist, managed to magnify the audio experience with his stage presence and vocals. As I stood there, eyes closed and probably mistaken for someone sleeping, the bass, drums and guitars sounded clearer to me and more prominent. They’re definitely a great band to catch live if you’re ever in the Philippines."
