Michelle Lewis, Kristin Cifelli & Rachael Sage at Passim Michelle Lewis, Kristin Cifelli & Rachael Sage at PassimSaturday, June 20, 2015 - 3:00pmEditDeleteAddHer music is rich with melody, and her lyrics seek beauty in the face of sadness. Too refined to call folk and too personal to call pop, as a singer/songwriter Michelles music is uniquely intimate, and surprisingly polished. As a storyteller, she writes intensely visual songs that explore the emotional remainders in burgeoning and breaking relationships.Michelle Lewis picked up her fathers acoustic guitar at the age of 14 and quickly abandoned interest in everything else. She honed her songwriting at Berklee College of Music in her hometown of Boston, and went on to tour the United States behind her first album, This Time Around (2004). She has been a long time collaborator with producer Anthony J. Resta (Elton John, Duran Duran, Shawn Mullins). Their work has included the release of her Broken (2009) and Paris (2011) EPs, and most recently her second full-length album, The Parts Of Us That Still Remain (2014), with songs co-written by Nashville favorite Robby Hecht and LA sound designer Conan Skyrme.
Kristin Cifelli's long awaited follow-up to her 2004 album, "So Long My Love" is sure to get the attention of folks from hipsters to hippies, with its earthy, yet modern sound. On the new release, entitled 'Middle of Nowhere", her voice soothes and soars over lush electric guitar sounds and organic beats with lyrics that hit home. At Berklee Alli has been a sought after session singer and performer known for her versatility in virtually all styles of contemporary music. Alli's many recording and performance projects have spanned from jazz to rock, pop, and reggae, but her true niche is R&B flavored Funk with an alternative flair. Alli currently performs with her own band, The Alli Beaudry Crew, as well as the popular cover band Incadence, and does frequent projects with Geoff Earley's The Geoffro Cause.
