Kommon Measure / Press

“Coming out of the fiery depths of Westside Phoenix, Arizona; Kommon Measure is a premiere three piece Reggae/Dub/Ska band. These "Dirty West Stranglers" grew up skating Desert West Skate Park, breathing fire in the heat of the desert, and playing music together with their own style of Reggae/Dub/Ska Punk. After living for a summer in the Ocean Beach area of San Diego writing music, skating, surfing and jamming some sweet reggae music, The guys came back to the valley music scene to freshen it up with their own brand of music. In the last few months, they have had great success and a local following in the music scene in the valley. Drawing inspiration from such legends as Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, SOJA, Bad Brains, BOB (of course), Peter Tosh, Hendix and so many others, it's just natural to feel irie about their style of music. They were quoted as saying,"It's all about the music and havin a good time"! ”

BScene Live

“Kommon Measure stepped up next to finish the job with their set. It was great to finally see them performing their song, “Gummy Love”, live. By the end of the night the Big Fish Pub was left, a pile of smoldering coals…just as a proper 420 show should. ”
