Kiti Gartner / Bio

Kiti Gartner & The Deceits are a Rockabilly/Roots band out of Washington DC, USA. Their influences range from classic Sun Records in Memphis, to music recorded at the Quonset Hut and RCA Studio B in Nashville in the 1950s and '60s. Together since 2013, they have been welcomed by audiences and venues across the mid-Atlantic and Europe, with Kiti's voice drawing comparisons to singers as diverse as Janis Martin, Patsy Cline and Dolly Cooper.

Kiti was born in Germany to US parents (from North Dakota) and was influenced by a wide range of music while growing up overseas. Music was a constant at home, old standards and country getting the most play. Backed by the Deceits, a veteran core of musicians who have been on the rockin' scene for decades, the band continues to bring a cocktail of great American music to audiences near and far.

They are working on writing and recording their first LP this winter, with the hopes of having it completed by Spring 2016.
