“Like a spoonful of smooth honey chased with a shot of warm Tennessee Whiskey, singer/songwriter Kim Garmon sings out simple truth with honest emotion. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Kim's soulful style bears witness to the musical influence she soaked in growing up in the city known as The Home of the Blues and The Birthplace of Rock 'n Roll. At the ripe old age of 5, she was asked to sing... a song for her grandmother’s Sunday School class; Happy to oblige and adorned in her Sunday best- complete with a bow in her hair, Kim belted out most of Dwight Yokam’s version of I’m a Honky-Tonk Man. It would have been ALL of the song but her grandmother (who was expecting something more along the lines of Jesus Loves Me) cut her performance short. In the words of a fan, Robert McCrary, “She has that haunting quality in her vocal style that only comes around a few times with each generation. We'll hear a lot more from her in the years to come. Great Voice.””
