An Open Jam Session, hosted by the trumpeter Kevin Davy aka KDQ (ex-LAMB, ADAM F, LEMN SISSAY etc.) Kevin Davy has hosted Jam sessions all over the country, most notably in Manchester, and London, as well as at Glastonbury festival. The jams received great reviews. The evening opens with a set by the house band, led by Kevin Davy. The house band comprises of Trumpet, Percussion, Keyboards, Bass and Drums. After the initial house band set, the jam is opened up. Kevin Davy will host and conduct the jam session for the duration. All good musicians welcome, from instrumentalists, to MCs etc. Musicians are required to bring their own instruments, with the exception of keyboard players and drummers. The lineups will change, and the house band will get together at the end to close the evening. Kevin Davy is a London-based trumpeter, composer, arranger and bandleader. In a career spanning three decades, he has amassed an extensive recorded discography, which includes work ranging from musical theatre to modern jazz and contemporary music.
Trumpeter, bandleader and composer Davy is perhaps best known, to have played extensively with Lamb, Adam F, Finley Quaye and Sugizo. He has worked in the left-field of jazz and contemporary music, across the genres of Jazz, drum n bass, improvised music, electronics and soundscapes, over the last two decades.
