The True Blue Thank you is an opportunity for the community to come together and say thank you to the police officers and troopers of Hampden County. On August 16th, WHYN and Peter Pan Bus Lines presents a bar-b-que at the Elks Pavilion on Tiffany Street in Springfield from Noon until 6pm. Officers and their families will be invited to come for an afternoon including free lunch, musical entertainment and children’s activities. The public will also be encouraged to join the event and for a small fee, enjoy the bar-b-que alongside the officers and take the opportunity to show their gratitude. All monies raised will be donated to the Ride To Remember, which raises awareness and funds for the Fallen Police Officers Memorial in Boston, MA.
