BLAZE KULCHA BIO: Ragga MC/Producer/DJ Keegan Billings (aka "Blaze Kulcha," and "Jah Blaze") grew up in Rohnert Park, CA, reared mostly on oldies as a small youth "because that's what my Mom listened to," then later hip hop's first wave "took over my life and it was GrandMaster Flash, Mellie Mel, Afrika B., Breakdancing, the whole ting," and later on "Gangstarr, Rakim, Wu, that East Coast flavor." At around age 13 Blaze was introduced to the sounds of Marley and Tosh. "I was totally hooked on the music and I wanted to do the same -- Create and Share di Good Vibes... Mi always show Love and Respects to all Buddhas, Daos and Gods. 1LUV." Blaze big ups Rocker-T and Soul Medic for being huge influences and cites Super Cat, Papa San, Daddy Freddy, Early B as his all-time favorite Jamaican emcees. A talented engineer with a dope penchant for remixing, Blaze has his paw prints in numerous Bass/Dubstep compilations, Ragga-Dubstep remixes featuring Winstrong, plus forthcoming releases from collabs with SMBZ project and Pacific NW reggae artist Christopher Carpenter. http://www.reverbnation.com/keeganbblazekulcha -- NO DOUGH DUB BIO: Bay Area-based producer Scott Dough (aka "No Dough Dub") was first introduced to dancehall via legendary DJ Clint O'Neill (WLRN Miami, FL). A byproduct of early 90s South FL and NYC rave culture, the old-school dancehall junglist points to Lee Scratch Perry and British two-tone as his main influences, along with Bad Brains, Steely Dan and Talking Heads as having shaped his formative-years soundscapes. Dough's instrumental handiwork includes stints as session bassist for Curt Olsen (Philospher's Club), Miriam Speyer (Borocue, Emily Anne Band), Brod Rob (Grow Records, LoveHaight) and several others. Along with brandishing the mallets in-studio on marimba, Dough has garnered Production credits for Composing & Charting brass arrangements for cross-genre endeavors in NYC, NJ and the Bay Area. NoDough Dub is currently the resident selecter each Wednesday at Underground SF in the Haight (best known for its long-running DnB party, 'Shelter'). http://soundcloud.com/NoDough
