“Austin (KXAN) - KXAN News Today is featuring the sounds of local musicians. This morning, we're playing some songs from singer-songwriter Juliette Buck. Buck is in the process of working on her debut EP. She posted a few of her songs online , including Sweetheart of the Month, which she said was inspired by Marilyn Monroe. She is a member of Girl Guitar Austin. "I wrote my first song on guitar at age 18, and have been writing ever since," Buck said. She cites musical influences ranging from Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash to Lissie and Jenny Lewis. New artists like Buck are constantly making their mark on the Austin music scene. http://www.kxan.com/dpp/entertainment/kxan-austin-local-singer-inspired-by-marilyn-monroe”
