Jinjer / Press

“Describing Lena from Infected Rain as a devil, I have to declare Tatiana from Jinjer the satan of all satans. The screams/growls she is able to produce are unbelievable. One would say this must be a man standing in front of the microphone. Every possible singer/screamer could be jealous of the vocal range she possess. Her clean vocals are also perfect, besides she has absolutely no problems switching among her singing styles. In this mini competition, Tatiana was the winner over Lena in the screaming capabilities, in my opinion.”

Report on Fajtfest 2014, Czech, Brno

“Jinjer are a welcome addition to the popular female fronted metal genre. With a darkness and a formidably surprising quality about them. And they have really discovered a hero protagonist in Tatiana. She is, absolutely, one of the most enigmatic and powerful metal singers around.”

“...Pour vous décrire leur musique, je dirais que le groupe pratique un metal moderne et groovy, entre néo, métalcore et progressif… Progressif ? Oui, cela peut sembler étrange mais si cet EP est très catchy et bourrin, il est aussi assez technique et flirte même avec l’expérimental...”

“another worthy Ukranian team, performing their own composition with unprecedented passion and strength”

“The band's catchiest element was of course their female-vocalist, Tatiana Shmailyuk, by all means she is a very talented girl with perfect vocals which vary from clean singing to screams and pretty low growls. Their music really grooved, melodic parts in the form of different tappings or just juicy passages followed and sometimes accompanied tough riffs. Lyrics are definitely on export and sounded in traditional English. But there is nothing embarrassing to send JINJER on export. They are a worthy band of great quality, the musicians contact the audience actively and feel confident on stage.”
