I started singing in bands when I was about 18years old in Port Pirie in a band called the Rythm Quartet. I moved to Adelaide and joined a band called Privelege, then a recording band with Phil Wooding and then various bands including Dust Ashes, Kid, Octopus, Helter Skelta, Section8, Gamble and Footloose. I didnt sing again for about 13years and was coaxed into it by the late Pastor Morrie Thompson. I was ministering with him at the Teen Challenge Soup kitchen in Hindley street Adelaide when one of the homeless guys came in with a guitar and was playing some songs. He asked me if I played and I said I used to, and he asked me to play a song, which I did. Well, for the next 3 or 4 weeks Pastor Morrie kept badgering me to play in the kitchen which I eventually reluctantly did. That led to a regular gig for me and it was about that time that I started writing Christian songs. In 2009 we went to Red Deer, Alberta to live near our family but only stayed 12 months. Within 4 weeks of landing in Canada God opened the door for me to play at a Soup Kitchen for the homeless and disadvantaged at the Potters Hands Church Soup kitchen. It was an incredible time of ministry, miracles and friendship that I will never forget. From then until now has been relatively quiet gig wise, but God has that in hand. I have spent my time preparing and writing songs and God has graciously given me more than 350 songs for Outreach of the unsaved, Church outreach and Praise and worship. All of those years that I was in secular bands, even though I tried I couldnt write a song to save myself, but after I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour the songs started flowing and I give God all the Glory for that. The main objective of the lyrics of my songs is to bring healing, deliverance and salvation to a lost, hurting and lonely world through the Power of God and all the Glory be to God.
