Jesse & The Hogg Brothers / Press

“Grab stomping’ crazy trailer redneck trash fun for your buns! Ya like the nitty gritty of the country silly dirt band? Here’s one I discovered over the inter webs highway of myspace.com I listened to a bit of”White Trash Meth Lab” and had me a chuckle. Also with their song for the movie “Biker Ann” which I gotta see and I also gotta see them! The pigs are a squealing as we wait for Jesse & The Hogg Brothers to come to our town!”

“Jesse and his cousins have been playing all over the states with a hilariously entertaining show that showcases original tracks from their first two albums/CD’s expertly mixed with classic covers from country’s greatest legends all with a unique Hogg Brothers southern sense of humor.”

“These Texas transplants (no, They're not from Hazard County; those are different Hoggs) say they play the country music they watched on Hee Haw when they were growing up, by which they mean the sweet spot of honky-tonk practiced by the likes of Buck Owens, George Jones and Merle Haggard.”

“The perfectly smoked brisket of what country should be! I have an appetite for good, good country music. Not just any ol' country music, (like one would hear on the ol' ra-didio.) but honest, "We care for what you hear." country music. I also like some wit and humor placed in there too. Jesse and the Hogg Brothers Band bring a style and class to both sides of what I really love. This ain't no pop music sung with no damn lipper full of chaw, or pretty boys donned in the latest fashion, topped with Kenworth ball caps, singin' what ought not be sung. I'm talkin' gittin' to the crux of country, The "real McCoy! The James frikin' Brown of what country should be. That, and some home cooked humor that would knock a buzzard off a turd wagon. I'm talking about Jesse and the Hogg Brothers Band! Good 'nuff reason to explain why you been caught with your hoozamawhatzit in the hog oiler. Nothings too far, funnier than a monkey hum”

“Brack Cornett (died 1888) was a prominent outlaw born in Goliad County, Texas, some time in the mid 19th Century. He is most well known as a member of the Bill Whitley gang In 2009 a C&W song titled "The Ballad Of Brack Cornett" was recorded by a TX band called Jesse & The Hogg Brothers on their CD "White Trash Meth Lab". The song is unique in that it starts off with a C&W flavor, but by the end is full-blown disco.”

“Jesse & The Hogg Brothers Working For Yankee Money CD HERE IT IS WITH NO BEEPS OR OTHER EDITING OUT THE SWEARS! HOGG BROTHERS ARE UNLEASHED, UNCENSORED and UNAPOLOGETIC! Finally the truth be told about Yankees, do I need say more? This second CD from Jesse and The Hogg Brothers is what you can expect when you catch this act live. The explicit lyric sticker is there for a reason!”

“COLUMN: TEN THINGS TO DO Everything you really need to know about Jesse & the Hogg Brothers can be found in songs such as "White Trash Meth Lab" and "Are You Available for Datin'." This is a band with a wicked sense of humor and absolutely no fear. More importantly, this is a tight group of musicians, attacking bluegrass and Southern rock sounds with both a ferocious irreverence and a deep respect for musicality. The combination is both oddly charming and outrageously funny. Jesse & the Hogg Brothers perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Bull Run Restaurant, Route 2A, Shirley”

"House Husband" is what every woman really wants, a man to do all the housework, cooking and shopping and still put out! People say country music is about losing your job, your love, your dog but these guys are just plain down to earth funny and are going straight to my iPod!

““If this was just a band making white trash jokes and wearing Billy Bob teeth and using fake twangs this might suck. But the beauty of the Hoggs ( who are not above white trash jokes, Billy Bob teeth and fake twangs) is that they are also making super earnest country music, old time stuff, including CB trucking songs, odes to America, and Christmas songs on both albums. If you can't get enough of the crude Southerner comedy (and a zillion Larry The Cable Guy fans can't be wrong) meets 1968 Opry music then get both CD's. Other curious folks get the second CD, as it includes some improved versions of the "hits" from the first one.” - Flamin' Waymon Timbsdayle”

“Leaving the comforts of the trailer park in Bosque County TX, Jesse and The Hogg Brothers are on the road to support their two CDs released in 2009. Jesse and his cousins Neil and Robert T. Hogg lead the rest of their kin in a true C&W variety show chock full of laughs.”

“Top Pick”

“Non-Stop Thrills in this irreverent country music debut. The CD contains more talent than is implied by the song titles. Highly Recommended if you enjoy laughing your ass off!”
