Jeremy Ryan Holloway is a Singer Songwriter from the Texas Hill Country. He was born in Oklahoma City and from there he was on his way to Louisiana. He grew up in Nashville Tennessee; these are his roots. Then, as a teen, Jeremy moved to Austin, TX and bought his first guitar for $40 at a downtown pawn shop. He returned to LA to attend Louisiana Tech University as a Theatre/Dramatic-Writing and Performance major. After that he worked as a Professional Actor and playwright at the Greenbrier Valley Theatre in West Virginia. Those were long days and even longer nights as he recalls.
Jeremy received his Poetic License at age 12 from his English Professor, Mrs. Trailove, while attending Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, TN. He started playing the guitar and writing songs at age 14. Memories of his youth are painted with a bittersweetness and what seems to be, as described by Jeremy, "...an intangible sunrise that can't somehow exist." Bittersweet; as he recalls Saturday School, Latin Classes, and a generally "hard" approach to academia.
He lived out in the country in Tennessee where he has fond memories of his pet cow, Buttercup, his pale palomino horse, and his boyhood friends. With his Father's stern and most-warm encouragement and his Mother's subtle wisdom, Jeremy began to trust good people.
While attending a public High School in Fort Worth Texas, Jeremy and three friends formed a Punk Rock band known as the Lot Lizards. The band was notorious for being just... "Obscenely Out-Of-Control" and "pursuers of the drop." Entertaining nonetheless, if you consider "mosh pits" and broken ankles to be a sign that the crowd is celebrating artistic expression.
When the band broke apart, Jeremy discovered the acoustic guitar. Remnants of his roots are written across his Face, his Pages, and may reside somewhere still...deep in his Voice.
