Root Road will be performing along with leading discussions about: Recording Your First Professional Album When it comes to recording a CD project where you’re the artist, you’ve got a lot of big decisions to make that will ultimately influence the way your project sounds. In other words, the more you do to prepare yourself before the record light comes on, the more enjoyable the process and the product will be. This seminar will focus on budget, producer, studio, and the important things you need to have in order to make your album a success. Instructors: Root Road Forming A Christian Band This seminar will explore all the facets of putting a Christian Music group together (which will last longer than the first jam session, or planning meeting). It will offer tips about putting together a band together that will last. Should different members be assigned a job within the band, besides the instrument she/he is in charge of? Should naming the band fall on one person, or should it be a collaborative effort? Should issues be dealt with democratically, or should there be a definite leader who makes all final decisions? Touring, promotions, and booking concerts will be discussed as well. http://karitos.org/
