“Thank you *so* much for giving me a copy of Jason’s CD. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! He has such an older sounding voice for someone his age that is very appealing. Love the blues influence on this album. I think that the latter half of the album really resonates with me - I especially love “Northbound Train”, “Surfin’ Cowboy”, and “Torn in Two” – although “Hold Me a Little Closer” makes me really tap my feet!”
“...I wish you much success. You have what it takes and will tear up the music world...”

“Jason Damico, the guitarist and singer of Jason Damico and the New Blue, is relatively new to the blues music scene, having taken an interest in the genre three years ago. The 19-year-old, who writes his own songs, said he felt an instant connection to the musical style. “It’s all about feel — everything is feel in this music,” Damico said. “This is the best genre to communicate feelings with.” Damico said he has been involved in other events hosted by the Hayti Heritage Center and was humbled and excited to be asked to play at the festival. “If I had to give my two cents to the pot, I really believe there needs to be an uprising of us young artists to carry the music with us,” Damico said. “It’s our responsibility to do so.””
“You're a great kid. Never give up on your dreams and they'll come true. Keep up the good work. Your fan, Chris Moir (Actor)”
"...rocking Chapel Hill young turk Jason Damico with his band the New Blue."
"And most of all I notice that no matter how much each song takes inspiration from various artists and styles, I can always tell that it's being played by Jason Damico. My friend and I have been sitting here listening to your music and despite the fact that he never even really listens to blues, he's still over there loving it! It's like all your work just flows so well. It's so easy to listen to and at the same time keeps that bluesy flavor that more hardcore enthusiasts tend to listen to. I think I've finally pinpointed what makes your music different...it mixes all the best of classic rock, blues, pop (the good kind), and even a little grunge... and the result is something that's both easy listening, headbanging, and music that makes you want to dance all at the same time. If you don't get some sort of record deal off these albums then there truly is no hope for the music industry."
"Lead singer Jason Damico (19) pumped up the crowd at the 26th Annual Bull Durham Blues Festival at the Hayti Heritage Center on Saturday. The crowd really enjoyed his energetic performance."
"I am very proud of this young man Jason Damico. He is the type of young man who will go places. His love for music and the arts are unmatched. Jason is always there for me when I need music for my films or plays."
"Jason Damico is talented far beyond his years. I first met him when he was about 15 and was impressed by his skill level, his confidence, his professionalism, and his maturity. Whether he's playing rock, jazz, or something in between, Jason delivers an amazing performance. It has been a pleasure watching him grow and develop as a musician and singer. His vocals, timing, and delivery are reminiscent of a young Billy Joel. Rarely do I meet young artists who have the whole package and totally blow me away. Keep your eyes on this one. Soon, we'll be able to say we knew him when..."
"I'm very glad we could find you to be my drum teacher and friend." From: Nathan (9 years old)

"Sallie Knott and her friend were at the festival to hear specific artists...'Jason Damico,' Knott said, when asked which artist drew her to the festival. 'I've heard him at the Blue Note Grill. He blew the doors off that place. He was awesome.'"
“WOW! I had NO IDEA that Jason was only 16?!?!?! Amazing!! He has a very bright future in front of him. It's great to see that he is staying busy in all facets of the arts and using his God-given talents. It was a pleasure to meet and work with him. Jason is way ahead of the game. I'm in New York and I know a lot of guys on the high school level that are playing this music and Jason is doing a great job Billy Williams...WWW.BWDRUMZ.COM ”
