Ian Siegal & The Mississippi Mudbloods In a dream team of the best contemporary blues talent, there is sure to be a place for the guys who make up the Mississippi Mudbloods, the collective title for this transatlantic collaboration that cooks up a powerful brew of hill country blues and southern rock. The band's debut tour in July was greeted by rave reviews and included a 20-minute live broadcast on BBC Radio2. Now they return to promote a new album Candy Store Kid (release Oct 15), recorded at the legendary Zebra Ranch near Memphis. Ian Siegal is arguably the most respected and creative British exponent of the blues since the sixties. In 2009 he was the first non-American to take the no.1 slot in Mojo magazine's review of blues albums. This year he became the first Brit to be nominated for Best Contemporary Blues album in the BMAs (Blues Music Awards), in effect, the Grammys of the blues. He also has British Blues Awards for best band and male artist. Cody Dickinson and Luther Dickinson hail from Coldwater, Mississippi and are the driving force behind the Grammy-nominated North Mississippi Allstars. Drummer Cody is also a respected record producer and founder member of Hill Country Revue; while Luther, who also plays with The Black Crowes, is widely regarded as one of the finest slide and roots guitarists working today. Wherever these brothers go energy follows!Official Link:http://iansiegal.com/...
