In Our Glory / Press

“Dozens of rock bands across New Jersey try to stand out and score big with a girl behind the microphone. None sound quite like In Our Glory. The quintet based out of Union Township has been working since 2010 to prove that a female frontwoman doesn't define a strong band — the talent must run throughout. In their style of alt-rock with an ambient edge, the group is both skillful and creative, working atmospheric guitar and vocal effects into a backdrop of melodies that stray from typical rock progressions. Their latest EP, May's "Growing Pains" shows off the mix of haunting riffs and teen singer Gina Petro's impressive range.”

"Their songs have profundity along with a commercial pulsation, essentially creating tunes that are catchy and passionate. However, it seems to be implied by some of their lyrics that they really want us to read into them, and I love when bands do this. It gives each individual fan the chance to relate to a song in any situation that they may be going through, good or bad, in their own inimitable way."
