HOLLWAY is a family affair, fronted by Australian producer/performer Simon Hollway, a former DJ whose residencies include Heaven and Paradise Factory and international appearances from Rio de Janeiro to the Berlin Love Parade. Simon’s productions combine house, trance, pop and techno, always uplifting and consistently aimed at the dancefloor.
Composer and arranger Benjamin Hollway’s training at the Royal Academy of Music has led onto collaborations and chart productions with a range of high profile UK recording artists such as Devlin and a string of film scores.
Charlie Hollway, the youngest, is currently waiting in the wings to join the team as soon as he can find the perfect pair of hotpants and body glitter. He will be the triangle solo for live sets.
None of us can dance.
The brothers split their time between the UK and Australia, producing with local talent from both countries with a regular roster of professional musicians, singers and remixers. Regular collaborators include Australian female vocalist Lou van Stone, whose divine voice has been enchanting worldwide audiences for several years, and UK remixer Andy Allder who has remixed almost every pop and dance act around from Kylie, Pink and The Sugababes to Tall Paul and Mac Zimms.
Leading European Electro House Label, Plasmapool, signed up the group under their TRXX imprint in January 2014. HOLLWAY’s first track for this label was the uplifting trance tune 'You Make the Sun Rise' which made a huge impact last summer in Ibiza.
The follow-up single, CARRY ON, released last September, dramatically built on the success of their debut. The tune is an arms-in-the-air, prime-time prog house screamer delivered with three major remixes and a radio edit from the UK and Australia.
Allder's Carry On Tech House mix serves up an exceptionally funky guitar riff driven by an hypnotic bassline. It proved so popular that it was re-released in November on Suicide Robot records.
HOLLWAY has just teamed up with Byron Bay singer Scott Davey for an intricate guitar-saturated Country EDM track, "When I Found You', released on US label Amathus Music to coincide with the major American 2015 summer music festivals. The track entered the US King of Spins Global Radio Airplay charts at no 3. It was a slow burn but 'When I Found You' finally entered the DJ Times US Dance Charts at #36 in November 2015 and remained in the top 40 for two months. At the same time, Switzerland's largest EDM label, 5howtime, just released some of our hyper pop craziness and a spooky haunted house mix of the forthcoming track, 'Follow Me', voiced by our regular collaborator Lou Van Stone.
With another three tracks just finishing production and a further new partnership with a huge rock vocalist, 2015 is turning into a big year. So big, we've all been placed in boot camp and on no-carb diets. We will currently accept royalty split payments from labels in the form of deep-fried chips or bags of liquorice allsorts.
