I am a Norwegian singer/ songwriter inspired by life, the "authentic" and the acoustic. Still I like to use my creativity and go beyond genres.
My musical main genre is still Americana - containing elements of various American musical styles, including country, roots-rock, folk, bluegrass, R & B and blues. The use of acoustic instruments is a vital and essential part of my productions.
These days I am working with my album nicknamed "Homemade". This time I produce and mix the whole album. I am learning by doing and making progress day by day. My singel "Come on" is the first song I have made totally on my own, except for my good friend Roar Vangen, which contributes on el-guitar, bass and mandolin. Hard work, much fun :).
My debut album as a singer / songwriter Moods Change was released 2013. The album contains twelve tracks which all have their own character and signature. The common thread in the album is "changing moods" - hence the title of the album. The album was created in partnership with great Norwegian musicians (Dagfin Hjorth Hovind (producer), Lasse Hafreager (assistant producer)
"Moods Change" received very good feedback. The album is on Spotify, Wimp, ITunes and is also played on air radio in several countries (Canada, Austria, New Zealand, USA).
In August 2014 I released the singel "Back to You" - which is produced by Lasse Hafreager.
I have got 6 "Song of the year" awards (international songwriting contest www.songoftheyear.com)
with the following songs
Come on (Semi finalist award 2016)
Silent man ("Runner up award" november 2014)
Crash & Burn (Honorable Mention honor 2014)
Back to You (Runner up 2014)
Hostage in a dream (Semi Finalist award 2014, lyrics Anita Boucht, melody and vocal Hilde Merete Øverby)
Dance (Semi Finalist award 2013)
I have also attended 3 "Bandwagon songwriting competition", and joined 3 regional finals with the songs "Crash and Burn" (2014), "Back to You" (2013) and "River of Love" 2012.
Back to You got "top score" from the "Youth jury" ).The song "Crash & Burn" nearly made it to the national final.
What makes me going?
I just can´t stop making music. I learn, develop and make progress everyday. I look forward to each day with the guitar and all great people and friends that I cooperate with. This wonderful network of creative people and good friends who I am allowed to meet. It makes me humble and grateful.
I wish you a wonderful day, filled with great music!
