I was into music from an early age, and learnt a variety of instruments. My life had a bit of a "Sliding Doors" moment when I was diagnosed with cancer in 1987; Originally I had every intention of going to University to study languages, but a loss of memory while I was ill pushed me towards doing Music as my degree, as it was a subject I'd worked with since primary school... I therefore went to Oxford Brookes University to study music in the early 90s, and I spent most of my final year twiddling knobs and pushing sliders in the music studio. This really generated my interest in music tech, and having finished Uni I invested in some home studio equipment, and I wrote a huge amount of music throughout the mid-90s - most of this was recorded in a single take to tape (combination of pre-progamming and live performance)!
I have recently started to write again after a 12 year sabbatical - the music on this site is a combination of my older and newer work. I have also released 5 digital albums since 2013 - "Polar Opposite", "The Lights of the Soul", "Tranquil Eyes......", "Sonic Odyssey" and "Cosmos". I hope that some of you enjoy it..... :-) Lots of love, HD xx
