Q: I noticed a lil' familiar melody in "Probably" and wondered if "Oh, What a Night!" by the Four Seasons was an influence? Enjoyed them all and would like to jam together some day. (=

A: I hadn't ever connected the two songs, but now that you bring it to my attention, I can certainly hear it! The stylistic influence was actually Phil Collins when he was in his Earth, Wind & Fire phase. The song was originally called "Smellerbee," after a character in a cartoon my daughter used to watch! I became obsessed with the word and started singing it around the house. Then it just grew from there. Thanks for your comment!
