GALLEON is tentatively scheduled to perform on the final night of 500 SONGS FOR KIDS, on Saturday night May 7 at Smith's Olde Bar in Atlanta. All the performers that night will be paying tribute to the artist known as Prince. We are not yet sure what song we'll be playing or the exact time of our performance. We do know that it's going to be a fun night packed with great local bands, and that all the proceeds will benefit the Songs For Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization which uses music as therapy to help ill and injured children. After all, music is God's gift to all of us, and we should use it for good and not for evil. Admission to this great event is on a pay-what-you-can basis, and there is an 18-and-over age limit. So join us for a great night for a great cause on Saturday night May 7. For more information, log on to http://www.songsforkidsfoundation.org. Hope to see you all on May 7! Rock on, my friends, Elliott Michaels for GALLEON!

How about that! Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles, GALLEON has an actual booking. We're performing on Saturday evening, April 2, 2016, at Kavarna, Decatur's popular neighborhood coffeehouse and musical hot-spot. We thank the management of Kavarna for giving us a chance to prove ourselves, and we intend to make our show there a most memorable and exciting one. Opening for us will be our good friend "Ballad Brian" Frey, an excellent folk singer/songwriter. Also on the bill will be another good friend of ours, the lovely and talented Anne-Marie Perry, who will perform a powerful semi-acoustic set. So we hope to see you on April 2 for what promises to be a fun night of great local music! KAVARNA is located at: 707B East Lake Drive (cor. Oakview Dr.) Decatur, GA 30030 Rock on, Elliott Michaels for GALLEON!
Once again, join GALLEON and many more local and regional musical acts at wildman Josh Rifkind's annual extravaganza 500 SONGS FOR KIDS. The event concludes this Saturday night May 2 at Smith's Olde Bar in Ansley Park, Atlanta, GA. GALLEON will perform that night at about 9:30 p.m. We'll be reprising our recent performance of "LAST NITE" by the Strokes, and we've added some new wrinkles to our arrangement in order to keep the viewers as off balance as we are! Admission to this event is on a pay-what-you-can basis, and all proceeds benefit the SONGS FOR KIDS FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization which uses music as therapy to help seriously ill and injured children. 500 SONGS FOR KIDS is a fun event for a great cause - the children. So come on out and join us on SATURDAY NIGHT MAY 2 for a wonderful climax to this event. What will you be doing that's more important than this? “When I'm up there singing and the band is playing solid and strong with me, and there's a good crowd and they're really picking up on what we're putting down - that's when a feeling comes over me that's hard to describe, and I feel like a real superstar ... even though we all know I'm just another local musician, playing in a local band at a local club.”
