I was born and raised in the small country side town of Castrovillari (Calabria – Italy). Since I was a young child, I always loved the United States of America. I studied and was always fascinated with the history, the geographical beauty and the music. I put on my very first pair of cowboy boots when I was just 7 years old and then the story began. I learned to play the guitar on my own listening to the legends of the Blues, of the Country and of the Rock music, such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, ZZ Top, Johnny Winter, Lightin’ Hopkins, Robert Johnson, Roy Buchanan, Roy Rogers, Johnny Cash and many others. In 2010, always studying on my own, I got the Guitar Diploma at the Conservatory Francesco Cilea of Reggio Calabria (Calabria – Italy). Between 2013 and 2014, after many musical backgrounds in Italy, I made a three-month trip in the U.S.A. where I played in several blues bars and lived closely to that culture I have always loved and dreamed of. When I return to Italy I founded a band called: “Frank Lo Prete and The Timeless Riders”. After several concerts, in 2015 we won the 15th edition of the Altomonte Rock Festival, getting the printing by the Multimedia Press of Orsomarso (Calabria – Italy) of 500 hundred copies of our debut album “Timeless Road” (here included), containing my previously unreleased tracks. Only for the making of the album Joe Brown joined the band playing the Hammond. In 2016 we took part in the European Blues Challenge selections, coming in fourth place for all of southern Italy. In the same year we opened the concert of the two times British Awards winner (2014 & 2015 - best European guitarist) Laurence Jones.
