FOUR DEAD IN OHIO (http://www.myspace.com/fourdeadinohioband) Named after a line in Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's seminal track, Ohio, the London four-piece take their credible influences from Interpol, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Black Angels. Rooted in deep southern soul and sixties psychedelic rock, their explosive sound is a heady mix of heavy riffs, rumbling bass lines and long stadium filling choruses. Guitarist Doug Mallet explains the macabre moniker ‘we took the name from the Neil Young song and we also like the fact that it has a dark political/historical background’. Toured the UK & Europe relentlessly, playing alongside the likes of The Raveonettes, The Duke Spirit, Ladytron, The Datsuns, The Black Angels, The Warlocks, Darker My Love and The Charlatans, 4DIO have also headlined the third stage London Hyde Park Calling featuring, yes … Neil Young. Inspades.Inc http://www.myspace.com/inspadesinc Inspades.Inc is Jim Quinn, P.G. Branton and Stewart King. Together, they combine a wide range of musical influences together with a shared love of emotive, intelligently crafted hard rock. Blending hook laden bridges, epic choruses and introspective lyrics, Inspades.inc sets King's distinctive voice against the epic soundtrack to your life. Having released their debut E.P in Dec 2010, Inspades.Inc are busy honing their chops on the local live music scene The Falling Spikes http://www.myspace.com /thefallingspikes "The Falling Spikes, local boys - were utterly incredible. Rarely has a support band I'd never seen before blown me apart like that. A set that consisted of a series of pulsating fuzzy drones that they tinkered with until each would explode in a crescendo of rich distortion. I didn't know any of the songs they played but every one was absolutely glorious and I stood beaming from ear to ear at the front and just let the whole wave of sound drench me. At one point they had this extraordinary shimmering balance between guitars and trippy keyboards that, bizarrely, made me feel genuinely emotional and I felt like I was choking back a sob at how magnificent it was."
