“The two talented members of Fixater gave another fine demonstration of rock music playing at this charity function. The Waggon and Horses were running an all-day event to raise money for cancer victims and the acts generously gave their time to help bring in the cash. Fixater -- Kevin Prockter (guitars, vocals) and Rob Godfrey (bass, backing vocals) -- pumped out rock classics with the help of a drum backing track and captivated the audience during their 65 minute set. Kicking off with Edwyn Collins' "A Girl Like You", with its tasty guitar break, the duo had feet tapping all round the pub's large garden area. Two Thin Lizzy classics followed -- "Don't Believe A Word" and the Irish anthem "Whiskey In The Jar", in which Kevin showed his amazing guitar skills, much to the delight of regulars. Sixties' hits like the Kinks' "Tired Of Waiting For You" and the Bobby Fuller Four's "I Fought The Law" were well received and I liked particularly Kevin dedicating the song to the rioters.”
