“Over the years, the 24-year-old Caldwell has opened local shows for Wu-Tang Clan, Big Sean and Roscoe Dash. In March of this year, he hooked up with The Nappy Roots to do a remix of his own track “Counting Sheep” and co-headline a show at Northern Lights. He is continuing to rack up high-profi le shows — on Saturday he will open up for Lil’ Kim at Northern Lights. In the future, Caldwell will be opening for DMX at a yet-to-be announced show in June. He’s also booking a tour for fall, and is in a contest to play a date on the Vans Warped Tour.”

“He is Fitted, a leading hip-hop musician in the Capital Region. (A friend gave him that nickname in high school, because he always wore fitted hats.) As he builds a resume that he hopes someday will lead to stardom, he adds another line Saturday when he opens for the rapper and actress Lil' Kim at Northern Lights. "Fitted really does set himself apart from other guys in the area," says Lamel Hubbard, a local hip-hop promoter. "He's a great lyricist. He's got a flowing delivery. His production is awesome. It's almost like he is the main event when he performs for me. "He's just a breath of fresh air. He writes about his life and things that are real. But it's different from the aggressive, hardcore hip-hop that we usually get with the local rappers. That's going to appeal to only one demographic. His music can appeal to a lot of demographics." That's Fitted's goal, he says, to appeal to blacks, whites and anyone who can appreciate a driving rap with lyrics such as: ”
