Q: Alright, this is for MASAKI. When did you start learning bass and how did you eventually get to that point when you started getting passionate enough that you just decided bass was your thing?

A: Hey Alex, thanks for your question… I first started playing around with bass and guitar back in the early days of EZO; then things started taking off for us and I had to work on my singing. That wasn't easy. For a long time, I didn't think about any other instrument, but by 2000, I had had enough. One day, I just picked up an old bass and started practicing. So when I met Aya in 2001, FiRESiGN gave me a chance to start over and go down a different path. (For more on Masaki's 2001 transition, see the 2009 article, "Walking the Path of Fire" by Susi McGrifien). http://derukui.firesignrecords.com
