“Eve williams - E.P Loaded Gun Review Category: Music Firefly – Loaded Gun 'Loaded Gun' is the latest impressive EP from Firefly, newly signed to Audio Ill. It's a melancholy, guitar and drum-driven work which evokes the dramatic scope of Muse with the pensiveness of Nirvana, without the unfortunate side effect often associated with your Indie bands of making you want to slit your wrists. The title track boasts a great bass line, and a catchy refrain. The next track, 'Ebstein's Anomaly' has a much broader scope; it's driven powerfully by the drums and has a real stadium rock feel about it. 'Nothing's ever gone my way', it sighs, a motto for the pre-mortgage paying generation and even more so for the bill paying demographic. 'Let's Play Dead' and the melodramatic 'Different Days' carry on the rock theme, whereas 'Just You, Just Me' is a love song with a kick. Well done to the boys on the new EP and I highly recommend checking it out. Eve Williams .”
