"David and Sloane from Feral Vinca are a talented duo based out of LA. They've headlined HOB, The Viper Room and other rock venues. Their record Sex Symbol is a good one... and they have VERY sexxxy friends." - Mookie/KX935

“English glam rock, Chicago power pop and NY new wave. The band themselves call L.A. home, and there’s a healthy beam of diffused Californian sunshine in their method. The result in an album full of upbeat songs, urgent guitars and a hearty come hither attitude. Singer Sloane certainly knows how to get a message across, whether she’s worshiping at the altar of rock on the opening cut “Rockstar”, or telling a sleazy story of Hollywood dreams gone bad on the title track. Her voice, strong, but a car ride from pure, pushes the same buttons as Cherie Currie and Debbie Harry used to, without sounding particularly like either. Guitarist David plays with plenty of oomph, inserts a solo when required but never at the expense of the songs, which are all laden with pop smarts - you will sing-a-long. If good ol’ fashioned, feel-good rock and pop floats your boat, then Feral Vinca are recommended listening.”
