Engraved In Blood / Press

“Engraved In Blood are what you get when you hand Pinhead from Hellraiser an electric guitar. EIB's latest release, Buried In A Forest of Bodies, will scare you if you're not used to blood curdling screams over thrashing guitars. EIB's music matches up well with your favourite slasher movies and will give any heavy metal junkie an adrenaline rush. EIB's new release is a 9 track shrapnel bomb being thrown at your auditory system, doing major internal damage if cranked at high volumes. There's a massive audience out there that fits EIB well and I'm willing to bet that they could do just as well as bands like Slayer and Machine Head. I'd recommend this for fans of hardcore rock and metal music, and if you're scared, then go to church.”

“The debut album from British Death Metallers, Engraved In Blood, is a damn fine mix of dark sarcastic humour, demonic vocals and relentlessly pounding bass. A solid performance and a fairly polished production make these guys a force to be reckoned with. Add to that, pit pleasing tracks like 'Cancer Factory', to confirm that they mean business. I personally enjoyed the less formulaic offerings on this album, 'ReAwakening' and 'Tits Of Fury' stood out as rich, macabre and yet every bit as guttural as the rest of the tracks. In a tidal wave of death genre albums, this one rides the crest . 4 out of 5”

“A turning point comes mid-set when James announces that they cancelled a few days off recently to write a new song called something like “Buried in a forest of bodies, where the tree’s are also dead, and on fire, and you’re on fire, and its cold” . He introduces guitarist Ralph who takes lead vocals in what turns out to be a two second epic howl, much in the same vein of old-school Grindcore. It gets genuine laughs all round and is followed by the band pulling out their best songs for the second half of the set and there is even hints of black metal in the sound.”

“Engraved In Blood first played a gig for my promotion in July 2012. I was very impressed by their energy, performance skills and professional attitude. I have already booked them for a return gig next spring, and envision booking them many more times in the future. Phil Core Torturous Promotions Nottingham”
